In 2006 Kids' Gallery
celebrated 10 years as Hong Kong's leading childrens'
arts centre.
Kids' Gallery was founded in Hong
Kong in 1996 as a
unique
concept
in
arts
enrichment education for children. Today, Kids'
Gallery operates centres in Hong Kong, China,
Japan and Thailand.
Originally concentrating on Visual Arts, including
Arts & Crafts, Sketching and Oil Painting, further
programmes in the Performing Arts were added
enabling
children to explore the delights of Speech & Drama,
Musical Theatre and Singing, among others. Communication
Arts courses were included to introduce arts-based
learning programmes to enhance English and Mandarin
skills. With our Digital Arts courses
we have taken children into the future, through
exciting
classes in web design, animation, film and video.
In 2005, Kids' Gallery opened the Star Learning
Centre at Metropolis Mall, Hung Hom, Kowloon.
The centre is fully owned by Kids' Gallery but
is dedicated to the teaching of English language
skills through creative methods.
By introducing children as young as three years
to the delights of Picasso and Cubism or the fun
of Andy Warhol, or providing opportunities for
children to perform in professional theatres,
or initiating exploration of arts subjects more
often introduced at a later stage in traditional
schools, and providing a very broad range of materials
and course curricula, Kids' Gallery ensures that
children are given full credit for their natural
abilities and the opportunity to develop these
abilities to their full potential.
Kids' Gallery continues to push the boundaries
of arts education further through the constant
development of new courses and curricula, based
on both traditional and modern art forms.
