Book Club engages students in thoughtful discussion of literature, fosters high-level thinking about texts and engages students in shared reading of a text.  The Club teaches students how to value their own ideas, form their own opinions, and share them in such a way that others can follow their thinking. 
It also instructs students in putting their thoughts and opinions into writing book reports.
