The Reading for Meaning™ Stage 1 course provides a foundation in pre-reading skills, with emphasis on listening and speaking through the use of illustrated stories. It helps students improve comprehension, vocabulary and their summarising of a story, through listening with increasing attention and recall.

The Reading for Meaning™ Stage 2 course helps advance writing, speaking and reading skills through an introduction to books with high frequency words and supportive illustrations. It enables students to improve upon grammatical knowledge through stories with predictable structures and patterned language.

The Reading for Meaning™ Stage 3 course develops the skills learnt in previous stages and sets children well on the way to reading independently. Through repetitive word structures and interesting plots, children develop reading strategies and confidence.
Task sheets and writing exercises complement the books.
