Communication Arts at Star Learning Centre
gives children the opportunity to explore
new ways of communicating in English. We
help your child to establish lifelong social
and presentation skills; to stand before
others and speak with confidence and knowledge
of the English language. The focus of these
exciting new couses is on developing personal
communication skills through improving
vocabulary, perfecting pronunciation and
learning presentation skills. Children
may also be prepared for the London College
of Music & Media (LCMM) speech exams.
Children
are naturally excellent language learners.
They can quickly master the pronunciation
of a language and develop positive attitudes
towards another culture and language. They
are also great imitators, and sounding
like a native speaker is remarkably easy
for them. These developmental advantages
are compelling reasons to begin speech
development in English early. At Star Learning
Centre we aim to motivate your children's
interest in English communication, to break
down any fear or resistance to learning,
and open up their eyes and ears to new
experiences.
Children
with particular ability and talent may be
enrolled in these classes by invitation or
audition only, and will probably be aged
10 years and above.
