What is your health and safety policy? |
  |
 |
In view of recent health alerts, the Department of Health provides guidance to schools and learning centres regarding health and safety.
In view of these, we ensure the following:
-
All equipment and materials are daily and thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant
-
All toilets are checked half-hourly for cleanliness and the removal of paper waste
-
All snacks are served with clean tongs and are never touched by teachers' hands
-
Any staff who show symptoms of fever or other illnesses are asked to take sick leave until they are completely well again
-
Child and adult masks and alcohol sprays are available in all studios
It is incumbent upon all of us to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. To safeguard students' health, parents are urged to maintain a hygienic household, and co-operate with us by reminding students to observe personal hygiene. In this connection, you are kindly requested to take the following measures:
-
Do not send children to class if they have a fever. (For the normal body temperature range, please refer to CHP’s guidelines pertaining to the means for measuring body temperature)
-
Inform us immediately if children are sick or have been admitted to hospital for surveillance
-
Keep sick children at home until symptoms have improved and fever has subsided; then take rest for at least two more days before returning to class
-
Co-operate with schools by picking up children feeling unwell from school and consult your doctor immediately
We ask that if students show signs of sickness, such as fever, repeated vomiting, rashes, persistent sleepiness or downiness, you act considerately to the other children in the class and remove your child from class and do not bring them to class until they are better. Make-up classes can be arranged.
We would like to appeal to parents for support in order to maintain a clean and healthy living environment.
