Alice in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll, is one
of the most famous children's books in the world. It is the
story of a little girl called Alice who has all sorts of extraordinary
adventures after she follows a white rabbit down his rabbit
hole. Alice meets Dodo, a duchess, the King and Queen of Hearts,
a grinning Cheshire Cat up a tree and lots of other strange
characters.
If you don't know the story, you can read it on-line at www.bedtime-story.com/bedtime-story/classics-alice-1.htm,
or, most libraries will have a copy of the book.
At Kids' Gallery, we will be performing a show about Alice
in Wonderland in March. You can be in the show if you are
enrolled in one of the following courses: Ballet, Guildhall,
Modern Dance, Musical Theatre, Performing Circle, Singing,
Speech & Drama and Trinity.

What does your Alice look like? Draw her and send in your
artwork to us to be published on our website. Or why not design
an original book cover? The first 5 entries will win a prize!
Lewis Carroll loved creating word puzzles, in particular doublets.
Doublets involve starting with a word and, by changing one
letter at a time, ending up with another word. For example,
DOG to CAT--can you do it?
For more challenging puzzles go to http://thinks.com/words/doublets.htm

Hi,
I’m Bernita. I’m writing to give you guys some comments.
I think that the paper should have something for the older kids to make. I like how there are facts in the paper, but the older kids’ part needs activities, instead of just reading about books.
Bye!
