Meet the Teachers

Alex Lau

Alex has a BA (Hons) from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London in Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education. He has a range of experiences in acting, teaching, and theatre production, and has worked as a teacher of public speaking, drama, performing arts, and early years education, as well as acting himself.

Enrico Narvaez

Eric has a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Communication and is a passionate and committed music teacher. He is a professional musician who can sing and play piano, guitar, bass, and drums. He is also a music arranger for instrumentals and vocals used in music production and theatrical works, and a record engineer and video editor. He is an inspiring teacher in Performing Arts and Music.

Hilary Law

Hilary Law received her MMus and BMus in Voice Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee (USA) and HKAPA, and LTCL in Singing with Distinction from Trinity College of London. Formerly the choir director at Boston Trinity Academy (USA). Hilary has won 38 best vocal teacher awards and over 100 student prizes. Her students have won prestigious international and local awards and scholarships.

Justin Yuen

Justin hails from Australia where he studied web and graphic design. An avid craftsman, he has several years experience teaching writing and fine arts covering a divergent range of media from fine arts, design technology, installation building, and toy making to children's book publishing. His interests include handmade culture crafts, Chinese style watercolour and oil painting. He is also a certified fitness instructor.

Michelle Narvaez

Michelle comes from a multicultural family, and every family member is musically inclined. She has been a passionate Early Years international school teacher in Hong Kong. She earned her early years certificate at the Centre for Early Childhood Care and Development, and TESOL diploma at Concordia College of Canada. When she not in the classroom you can find her backstage as she does make up for theatre plays, and musical productions like Face Production’s Narnia, Legally Blonde and Into the Woods.

Savannah Russell

After doing her Art Foundation studies at SCAD HK and finishing Film Studies in the Philippines, Savannah moved to Hong Kong to pursue her career in Visual Arts. She has worked as a production assistant, workshop leader, and with museums including Tai Kwun. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation in visual, digital, and communication arts.

Alice Lai

Alice Lai is a Master graduated with a major in Art and professional practice, qualified gemmologist, UKTQ level 3 in Early childhood education and Child psychology. Alice has years working in auction houses as Jewellery specialist/consultant and started teaching since 2019 to the age group from 2-12years old, focusing in oral and creative learning. Alice contributes to the KG Group as Communication Arts teacher, she leads a fun and creative learning environment according to children’s needs and characters, providing them opportunities to be creative and learn through playing.

Federica Gargano

Federica is a passionate performing arts teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching various creative forms that include contemporary dance, jazz dance, and musical theatre. Federica has worked in various studios in native Italy and Hong Kong and awarded many scholarships throughout her career. She has been awarded numerous qualifications and certifications in performing arts including the MAS of Italy. She has also worked extensively with primary, secondary, local and international school students in helping them script, direct and execute large scale school productions.

Holly Yuen

Holly graduated with first-class honours in 2022 from the School of Drama, HKAPA, majoring in acting. She is also a graduate of CUHK, having received her degree in cultural studies in 2018. She received the Outstanding Actress Award and the Actor of Astonishing Progress Award from the HKAPA. Invited to join the “Made in Hong Kong project”, Holly had the opportunity to perform at the The Festival Off, Avignon, France in 2019. These unique experiences shaped her in becoming an artist with international perspectives and global vision – a perfect fit for the KG Group faculty.

Kathy Tang

Kathy graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree (Hons) from Cardiff University, UK. Kathy has appeared as a solo soprano since she was in the UK, including the solo soprano in Handel’s Messiah and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. She continues to be an active soprano after her return to Hong Kong.  Kathy is also a member of a cappella group Zense.  Kathy is an experienced vocal instructor — teaching at schools, and vocal coaching for musical productions. She is passionate in both performing and teaching.

Regina Lam

Regina holds a BA Creative and Performing Art (Hons) degree from Liverpool Hope University, UK. She is also an alumni of the HKAPA Summer Music School. Regina has experience performing in theatres, on television, and teaching acting and dance workshops in the UK. Regina loves to share her experience and knowledge to students through an international blend of Hong Kong and British culture.

Stellina Wong


Stellina holds a Higher Diploma in Graphic Design from Digital Studio School of Graphic Design and a certificate in teaching art. She has over 10 years of teaching experience working in arts education for all ages, ranging from toddlers to 14 years. She has received awards as Best Art Tutor from Hong Kong and international drawing competitions.

Deanna Humberstone

Deanna has a BA (Hons) in Professional Musicianship (Vocals) from British Irish Institute of Modern Music in London. Deanna comes from a very musical background, accomplishing Grade 8 ABRSM in Flute and Piano. She has also achieved  Distinction Merit in Performing Arts and Distinction Star in Music Performance. 
Deanna understands students have their own learning pace and brings to the KG Group a passionate drive to aid children in their unique musical journeys.

Fred Lo

Before Fred was the principal vocalist leading the musical variety show “Mickey and the Wondrous Book” at HK Disneyland, he has been working with both children and theatre — creating , hosting and performing in children programmes, directing, writing and creating choreography.  Fred received his BA in Communication Arts from De La Salle University. Fred brings his experience and passion in theatre and children’s creative education to the KG Group, where he can nurture children’s talents, help them embrace their creativity and build confidence inside our studios, on stage and beyond.

Jan Brink

A native South African dramatist with years of extensive experience, Jan is an award-winning theatre-maker with a vast skill-set and special emphases on writing and directing.His expertise has seen him take to the stage in numerous productions whilst simultaneously writing and directing his own award-winning pieces of theatre.  Jan’s most recent award is for the Best Upcoming Talent award for his role in Lungs and the Award for Best Debut Production at the Free State National Arts Festival for his original script Sarah.

Kevin Kan

Kevin graduated from the University of Reading, UK with a BA in Theatre Art, Education, and Deaf Studies with British Sign Language training, and also holds a Foundation Diploma in Acting from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has taught in numerous theatre companies, learning centres, and schools in the UK and HK, specialising in theatre. He has a keen passion in teaching children, especially with Special Educational Needs.

Sage Magagane

Sage studied Performing Arts at Oakfields College, South Africa, and is a professional performer; Sage has starred in numerous musicals including A Chorus Line and Violet The Musical. Sage started performing in high school where she learnt how to sing, dance and act.Before joining the KG Group, Sage has worked as a Performance Coach, where she developed a passion for teaching children. She believes that art is key to child development; and Sage is dedicated to honing her students’ skills on each child’s unique journey.

Tania Tiplady

Tania graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, with a Bachelors Diploma in Fine Art as well as a BTEC Diploma in Art & Media. She has taught English and art in various schools and centres around London and Hong Kong, including Star English. Tania has a passion for fibre art and photography, with a focus on weaving. She hopes to inspire children to be as creative as possible.

Delia von Pflug

Delia von Pflug fell in love with the performing arts at Kids’ Gallery as a teenager, performing in productions such as Narnia (2012), Faustus (2013), and Hairspray (2014). After studying Journalism at the University of Hong Kong, she began teaching English Drama at local primary schools. With a wealth of teaching experience as well as work experience in creative industries, she joined KG as a Performing and Communication teacher in July 2022. Delia’s multicultural background contributes to the international learning and cultural environment – a signature of KG Group.

Hannah Amancio

Hannah graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sequential Art. Hannah has had valuable experience working as a Creative Designer for Hong Kong Disneyland as well as a freelance artist for various clients in addition to her teaching.  Hannah hopes to bring her experience and her passion in teaching and inspiring children to express themselves creatively and freely through the medium of visual and digital arts to KG Group.

Justin Leung

Justin holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from Brunel University, London, UK. An avid writer from an early age, he has interned at magazines such as Timeout Hong Kong and is currently working on his own fiction writing when he's not teaching. Justin loves sharing his passion for literary arts with his students.

Lilly Wu

Lilly is a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy, UK and holds an MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy. She is a guest lecturer at the University of Derby, UK, and on the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Dance Movement Therapy Association. She is also a Certified Practitioner of Art in Therapy and Projective Drawing Art in Assessment, and teacher of ballet, musical theatre, and violin.

Sarah Johnson

Sarah holds a Bachelors in Fine Art (Distinction) from the Royal Institute of Melbourne and a TEFL qualification. Starting her teaching career as a kindergarten teacher, she later combined teaching with her passion for art. She has gained years of experience sharing her love for visual arts with children and young adults. She strongly believes in the importance of nourishing today's youth through all forms of creative expression.
