Part of the Picasso Portfolio this summer, students willapply the genius artist's style and techniques of his Rose Period to create adepictions of the circus through collage on 2D wooden board. Complete all fiveworkshops of the Picasso Portfolio and earn a certificate of completion.

As Picasso exited a deep sadness (The Blue Period), he rediscovered happinessin spectacles of joy – the carnival and its harlequins, actors, and othercircus performers! This workshop recaptures that joy by guiding studentsthrough a thrilling portrayal of clowns, animals, and performers as interpretedby the maestro Picasso. Collage, tone, and shades are explored to bring vividlife to feelings our students are fully capable of expressing visually.
