My Book of Art — The Meaning of Art (6+ years)

MY BOOK OF ART — Artist’s Book X Art Book REIMAGINED. Our most ambitious summer intensive programme yet! Whether it is taking on the elements of art (colour, line, shape, form, value, texture and space) and giving them a storyline for young artists 3-5 years, or tapping into children’s uninhabited relationship with the world and its beauty, and their imagination, to truly see art — its value and meaning — through a child’s eyes for young artists 6+ years, this is art education at Kids’ Gallery, at its finest. A picture, they say, paints a thousand words. This is not just a picture book. This is an art book by young artists on their stories about art. Every Book of Art is a Work of Art.We celebrate, not hinder, all the ways in which children can render beauty to simple abstractions. And we allow our young artists to inspire us as just they did with Pablo Picasso. The result will not simply be the most awesome coffee table book or THE avant-garde book to line your bookshelves. It is a door opening to the fascinating world of your child’s incredible artistic and creative mind — a world while the visuals are so compelling, words need to take a backseat. It’s visual storytelling captured on pages, in a book, your family will treasure forever. Children 6+ years with visual arts training are eligible to enrol; current Kids’ Gallery Art Portfolio+ and Artists Circle students meet this programme’s admission pre-requisites.Small group instruction: Maximum 6 students per classEach book to have approximately 12 pages/6 spreadsKids’ Gallery will publish the books and has all publishing and copy rightsIncludes 2 copies of the professionally printed hardback book (without ISBN), measuring approximately 297 x 210mmAllow at least 6 months for production after completion of classesISBN allotment for book may take at least 9 months and subject to government procedures and approval.
